The Amazon SNS notification integration allows to process media asset updates in Bynder immediately, without manual interaction or delayed cron processes. See the Update Metadata page for more ways on how to update Metadata.
Prerequisites
See the Bynder SNS documentation on general information. To set up notifications, enable the Bynder SNS module and provide Bynder Support with the SNS endpoint of your site: https://YOURSITE.com/_amazon-sns/notify.
The notifications that this module supports currently are asset_bank.media.updated and asset_bank.media.meta_updated.
Note that this URL can be accessed in the browser, but an error ("SNS message type header not provided") is the expected result.
See also the Amazon SNS Drupal project page.
Once the SNS integration has been set up, a log entry from the amazon_sns module is created in your log which contains the topic ID. Configure this topic on the Bynder settings page. This is to ensure that only notifications from a trusted source are processed.
Go to the Bynder settings page.
Add the topic ARN in the field, Save.
Verify by making a change in Bynder on an existing asset that is used in your Drupal site.
